Resonance: A FLINTA Music Residency Program

Between November 2024 and September 2025, Sorora e.V. implemented Resonance, a residency program supporting FLINTA (female, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans, and agender) composers and performers with migrant backgrounds from across Europe.

Funded by the European Union through LIVEMX, the residency took place in two complementary locations: Projektraum Coswig, a creative hub surrounded by nature, and Bardo Projektraum in Berlin, where the public presentations were held.

For two months, six musicians lived, worked, and created together, receiving mentorship, participating in professional workshops, and experimenting with new forms of sound and performance. The program provided space and resources to develop original works, culminating in a series of public concerts.

Beyond the Residency

Resonance not only gave visibility and professional development to the participating artists but also strengthened a European network of FLINTA musicians, created innovative compositions, and engaged new audiences both locally and digitally. Through concerts, workshops, and documentation, the project built bridges between communities and reaffirmed the power of music as a tool for diversity, exchange, and cultural justice.

This project was made possible with the support of LIVEMX – Creative Europe.
